What makes Family Dog Central unique?
Safety is our main focus. All dogs that
come to FDC must be very social and want
to be here. Everyone must be spayed/
neutered and come for Trial Day to ensure
it’s a good fit. All staff at our dog daycare facility
are trained in dog 1st aide/CPR, dog pack
behavior and we are always “with the dogs”
supervising them (and intervening when
necessary). We use positive training methods/
commands to ensure a structured playtime.
Our Services – we offer a structured place for your
dog to get social interaction with dogs (and people)
and get well needed exercise too…they can come for
the daycare or stay overnight – we are here with the dogs.
Daily Schedule – very similar to “kid care” we ask that all dogs arrive at least by 10am so that they are all on the same schedule for the entire day…this way…if they are staying overnight…they will be ready for a much needed snooze!
Flexible Pick Up Times – since we are here with the dogs at night, we understand you want to see your dog as soon as you get back so you can pick up your dog (even if it’s late Sat or Sun!). All we ask is that you keep us in the loop so that we can ensure your dog gets a bath prior to pickup
All Inclusive Rates – EVERYTHING is included in our rates (even an exit bath for overnight stays!) – so there will be no surprises
or extra charges to add up!
Our Promise – if FDC is not the best fit for your dog –
we will do our very best to help you find an alternative style
of dog daycare and overnight stay facility – we know
LOTS of dog people/places!
What is a typical “dog day” at Family
Dog Central
for daycare and overnight stay dogs?
6 am – 7am
Overnight dogs – go outside and are served
breakfast –
they rest for about 1 hour (until their meal has settled)
7am – 10am
All dogs arrive (we ask that your dog gets here by 10am
so that all dogs stay on the same schedule for the
entire day) then those who will be staying over
snooze the night away
7am – 1pm
Dog Daycare Fun – dogs are grouped according
to size, temperament & play style. Activities include:
chasing tennis balls, playing with Jolly balls, splashing in the dog pools or just hanging out while being supervised by trained professional staff
1pm – 3pm
Naptime – all dogs take a well-needed snooze or rest
3pm – 7pm
More Daycare Fun – daycare dogs get picked up by Mom/Dad
7pm
After the last daycare dog goes home, overnight stay dogs take a brief rest before dinner is served. They get let out late night (around 10pm).
Is daycare the right choice for my dog?
Most dogs enjoy the socialization of people and other dogs,
but there are definitely some that do not. If after Trial Day,
we determine that daycare might not be the best option for
your dog, we can work with you to suggest alternatives.
What is your Staff to Dog Ratio?
The ratio of staff to dogs is very important. To ensure
everyone’s safety at Family Dog Central, we have one staff
member for every ten to fifteen dogs, depending on the size
of the dogs and the experience of the staff member.
What are the requirements for my dog to
come to Family Dog Central?
Dogs Must Be:
• At least 4 months old and spayed/neutered
(if over 6 months)
• In good health and not ill with any
communicable conditions
• Current on vaccinations for Rabies, DHPP (Distemper/Hepatitis/ Parainfluenza/Parvovirus) & Bordatella
• On monthly flea and tick control
• Social and friendly with people and other dogs
How do I sign up for my dog to come to Family Dog Central?
Our process is easy!
1. Complete an Online Dog Application (or we have copies here). We will call you as soon as we have your paperwork (online applications come to us via email)
2. Provide us up-to-date vaccinations records – you can either have your vet fax them to us (954-360-2830) or bring them with you on Trial Day. We need proof of Rabies, DHPP (Distemper/Hepatitis/ Parainfluenza/Paravovirus) & Bordetella
3. Schedule Trial Day –all that we require is your dog stay with us for at least 2 hours. If all day works better for you, that's ok with us.
